Pöggstall Castle

The carefully restored Pöggstall Castle (German: Schloss Pöggstall), which at the beginning of the 13th century was only a solitary tower, surrounded by a wall and a moat, and then – repeatedly extended – reached its present size. The moat has long since disappeared, but walking along its former bed you can still hear the sound of the forest stream.
