A manhole cover as part of a public water intake. The inscription in German (Durstigen in dieser Stadt gewidmet – ANKER – 1991) means Dedicated to those who are thirsty in this city. Ankerbrot GmbH & Co KG (ANKER for short) is one of the most famous producers of bakery products in Austria. The company’s tradition dates back to 1891.
