The Renaissance palace built in 1601 by Georg Thurzo, a Hungarian magnate, who had organized here weddings for his seven daughters. His only son died young, therefore the male lineage has expired. Today is the Sobasny Palace a state regional archive with some exhibition rooms.
A small park connects the palace and Bytca Castle – a former water castle from from the thirteenth century.
