Sundial at the Stallhof in Dresden

Sundial above the colonnade of the Stallhof, now part of the Dresden Royal Palace. On the other side of the building the mural “Procession of Princes”. Inscription in Latin, “Mors certa, hora incerta”, means: death is certain, but its exact time is not.
