Merkenstein ruins

A deep forest in Lower Austria near Bad Vöslau gradually absorbing the ruins od Merkenstein (German: Ruine Merkenstein). Nobody has lived here for more than 300 years, since the castle was demolished during the attack of the Ottoman Empire in 1683.
